Refresher Coaching Course

The refresher course provides a space to recall what was learned in Coaching Skills for Everyone Who Leads (prerequisite course) and provides time for interactive practice with emphasis on dealing with more challenging coaching situations. The course is interactive in nature, with ample time to practice the coaching skills and techniques, and time to create back-on-the-job action steps. Participants also receive feedback from peers and the facilitator as they practice your skills.
The full-day course gets into further depth learning how to coach to an specific organizational agenda, opening up lines of communication, engaging people when conversations get difficult, dealing with disagreement, making requests, dealing with consequences, and managing emotions and personality differences.
As a result of the Coaching Skills refresher training, participants are able to:
- Build momentum in mastering the coaching approach.
- Use all four skills in real-time situations even under pressure.
- Able to overcome resistance in others.
- Apply new strategies to manage people who become difficult and challenging situations.
- Manage and overcome emotions so you can objectively lead anyone.
- Coach using your own agenda to move a person to better performance
- Learn how to transform complainers into choice-makers.
- Help others gain more perspective in challenging situations leading to more engagement.
- Gain agreement when there is disagreement.

- Create an environment of trust that allows for challenging conversations.
- Increased responsiveness to feedback.
- Ability to drive an agenda while using a coaching approach.
- Increased mastery in being a coaching manager or leader.
- Determine situations where coaching can be used and where it cannot be used.
- Value-add conversations up, down, and around.
